Prices of Moldavite have increased considerably over the last few years as demand exceeds supply.

Moldavite is a rare stone due to the nature of its creation. Hence, mineral collectors have been buying them.  At the same time as healers discover its various helpful properties they too create a demand.

Moldavite is found only in the Czech Republic and the mining is said to be controlled by the Czech Government. Apparently now there is only 1 mine left in active production. It is estimated that all commercial mining of Moldavite will finish in 5 to 10 years time.

As a result of the increased demand and limited supply, some sellers are passing off  Tibetan Tektite as Moldavite. Some are selling “man made” Moldative.   “Man-made” Moldavite are actually Moldavite grounded into very fine  pieces, then added with some other substance and molded to look like the real Moldavite. There are some “man-made” Moldavite that do not have any Moldavite content in it, it is just ”glass” molded to look like Moldavite.

As Moldavite is a high vibrating stone, when you hold a Moldavite in your palm  you should feel some sensation. 

It is recommended that you buy your Moldavite from trusted and honest seller.
